Vasavägen.

Apeln 9, located on Vasavägen, was constructed in the early 1940s during the wartime period. At that time, Linköping faced a significant housing shortage as the numerous factory and mill workers required accommodation. This demand led to the development of residential areas featuring stone buildings, replacing the older wooden houses. Along the entire stretch of Vasavägen, practical four-story "Folkhem" buildings were erected, though not all were equipped with the upscale balconies seen in Apeln 9.
