Tumba Port offers newly built apartments just a stone's throw from Tumba centre. Find more information about the development and how to register your interest here. There will be no apartment viewings. The images in the listing are illustrative reference pictures showing the choice of materials and the standard. Storage rooms are provided for every apartment, while electricity and water are charged separately. All income documents must be uploaded to Mina sidor when you submit your expression of interest; information about the required certificates is available here.
Move-in will take place over several days, with each resident assigned an individual time slot. This arrangement is intended to make moving easier for everyone and reduce the risk of queues in the lifts and stairwells. The listing for each apartment states its move-in day, and you will receive your time slot well in advance. Once the rent has been paid, you must have a specified amount left for living expenses. Botkyrkabyggen bases this requirement on the Swedish Consumer Agency's guidelines for a reasonable standard of living. For 2026, the amounts are 6,243 kronor for a single adult and 10,314 kronor for married couples or cohabiting partners. The requirement is 20 per cent lower for pensioners and students. An individual assessment of income may also be carried out.
No more than 4 people may live in an apartment. You must be registered at the property and use it as your permanent home, and you must have valid home insurance. You must be at least 18 years old and either registered in Sweden, an EU or Nordic citizen, or hold a permanent residence permit. If you are already a Botkyrkabyggen tenant, note that the notice period for your current home is three months; depending on when your new agreement begins, this may mean paying rent on two homes for a period. Applicants who sign an agreement for a newly built home at Tumba Port retain the queue points they have earned in Botkyrkabyggens housing queue. The points are not lost when you sign for a new-build home there, and can still be used when applying for housing in the queue in the future, subject to the applicable queue rules.
